Matthew Bidwell
Xingmei Zhang and Yongge Dai Professor; Professor of Management, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; Faculty Director, Wharton People Analytics
Bio
Matthew Bidwell’s research examines new patterns in careers and employment, focusing on causes and effects of more short-term, market oriented employment relationships. He is particularly interested in the different kinds of career paths that people take in the modern labor market.
Matthew’s work has been published in a variety of academic journals and has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. It has also been recognized with a Scholarly Achievement Award from the Academy of Management Human Resources Division, the John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award from the Labor and Employment Association and the Scholarly Contribution Award from Administrative Science Quarterly. He has also won the Wharton Teaching Excellence Award several times. He has served as a Senior Editor at Organization Science and is currently a faculty co-director of the Wharton People Analytics Initiative and faculty director of the Wharton CHRO Program.
Matthew holds a Ph.D. from the MIT Sloan School, an S.M. in Political Science from MIT, and an M. Chem from Oxford.

Alex DiLeonardo

Alex DiLeonardo is Chief People Officer for Citadel Securities. He is responsible for leading the complete career lifecycle for the firm’s global team, including recruiting, learning and talent development, performance management, and other critical aspects of the employee experience. Alex and his team support organizational development to ensure that Citadel Securities remains the premier destination for the world’s most talented traders, researchers, and engineers.
Alex joined Citadel Securities from Activision Blizzard, where he led the talent organization. Prior to that, he was a partner at McKinsey, where he supported some of the world’s leading organizations with their most pressing talent-related priorities.
Educated at Carnegie Mellon University, Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Tepper School of Business and a master’s degree in public policy and management from the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
He is a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Imperial College Business School in London, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Judd Kessler
Howard Marks Endowed Professor, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

Judd B. Kessler is the inaugural Howard Marks Endowed Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His research and writing have been featured in leading media, such as The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Harvard Business Review, NPR, Hidden Brain, and Freakonomics, among others.
He is a sought-after speaker and an award-winning teacher. His courses in Wharton’s Business Economics and Public Policy Department are popular among undergraduates, MBAs, PhD students, and executives.
He received a bachelor’s degree, MA, and PhD from Harvard University and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. He is the author of LUCKY BY DESIGN: The Hidden Economics You Need to Get More of What You Want, which was released by Little, Brown Spark in 2025.

Dawn Klinghoffer
Vice President, HR Business Insights, Microsoft

Dawn Klinghoffer is the Vice President of the HR Business Insights team. Her responsibilities include advanced people analytics & research for Microsoft’s business units globally, including ownership of the employee listening systems, as well as analytics and reporting support for HR programs, including Global Diversity & Inclusion, Global HR Services, Talent Management, and Learning & Development.
The team’s work has been published in HBR, NY Times, Forbes, MIT Sloan Management and other news journals. Dawn has been at Microsoft for over 20 years and has held positions in HR and Finance.
