We are excited to announce that this year’s Case Competition will be held virtually. Please check back for further information on the Case Competition’s non-profit partner organization, which will be announced in early 2021.

We invite post-secondary students from all schools and degree programs to enter as individuals or in teams of up to three students to participate in the case competition. Students will visualize and analyze data collected by our non-profit partner to help them solve their most pressing people analytics challenges.

Finalists & Winners
Finalists will be invited to showcase and present their submissions virtually as part of the conference program, where their findings will be assessed by a panel of judges including representatives from the non-profit, academics, and industry experts.

Winning submissions will be awarded cash prizes, as well as complimentary tickets for the 2021 virtual and 2022 in-person Wharton People Analytics Conferences (a $1500+ value).

All people analytics practitioners (for profit, non-profit, and public sector) are welcome to apply! To be eligible, the paper must focus on a topic or issue related to people analytics and must be a new piece created for this competition. Please note that as part of this competition, your work will be shared among the Wharton People Analytics team and a limited panel of external judges. Your work will not be shared or published beyond these groups without your explicit permission.

Finalists & Winners

Finalists will be invited to showcase their research as part of the conference programming in April 2021. Each finalist will have an opportunity to present to a panel of judges comprised of representatives from industry and academia, and the winning submission will be featured on the main virtual stage during the conference program. Each finalist submission will also receive one complimentary ticket to the virtual conference in 2020.
